Discover the Benefits of Meditation for Better Mental Health

As part of our Becoming Beloved Community series, and because it is Mental Health Month in the USA, we have asked Ms. Mary Harvey to join us and speak about the benefits of meditation for our mental health. She is a meditation teacher at the International Kadampa Retreat Center in Williams. Mary Harvey retired in 2006 after a 30 year career in social work and counseling. She received her BA and MA at University of California Santa Barbara. Since her retirement, Mary has been studying, practicing, and teaching Kadampa Buddhism. She moved to Williams 4 years ago to continue her studies and to be a member of the community at the Kadampa Temple for World Peace. This is a free program open to the entire community.
