This is an ELCA day of service across the USA.  We will beginning a new ministry to the young people who attend the Camp Genesis program at the Episcopal church camp located in Prescott.  It is the intention of this program at St. John’s to make sure these young people receive a card in September, for their birthday and for Christmas from parishioners at St. John’s.  Each of these young people has a parent who is incarcerated and need the support and caring of others.  We aim to help provide that support and encouragement they need through reaching out in this way.  We will write our first cards after the service in Walker Hall, and then get them sent to the camp coordinators who ensure that the young people receive the cards.
