SUMMARY:Annual Meeting of the Congregation
DESCRIPTION:We will have our annual meeting of the congregation of St. John’s on February 8th.  The meeting officially begins at the start of our regular worship service\, and after the conclusion of the service we will move to Walker Hall and enjoy a potluck lunch.  While we are enjoying dessert we will begin the business portion of the meeting with elections\, approving the budget for the year\, and then discuss ideas for programs and projects during the year and how to implement them.   We ask that everyone who regularly attends St. John’s to come to this meeting and participate by sharing your ideas and love of this church. \nThere will be a sign-up sheet for the pot luck lunch on the narthex table.

SUMMARY:Lessons and Carols
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to our annual ecumenical service of Lessons and Carols.  This year’s concert will feature the Williams Community Handbell Choir along with the Lessons and Carols Choir.  Other special local musicians will also be added to the program for this year.  Local pastors from churches in Williams will participate in the reading of the Lessons.  This is a free concert/service for the entire family.  After the concert there will be refreshments in the fellowship hall and a time to meet the many participants of this highly anticipated annual event for the community.

DESCRIPTION:The choir will be rehearsing two songs for Advent and a song for Christmas Eve Service.  Everyone is welcome to join our choir – you do not have to be a member of St. John’s to sing in our choir.  Everyone who enjoys making a joyful noise to the Lord is Welcome.  Our choir is for Junior high students through adults of all ages.

DESCRIPTION:The congregants of St. John’s will be celebrating an early Thanksgiving meal together on November 23rd following the morning service.  We will have a sign-up sheet on the narthex table for everyone who would like to participate.  Fr. Phil and Deacon Dale are cooking and providing a ham and a turkey! So everyone that is coming just needs to provide a side dish\, dessert\, or beverage.  Watch for the sign-up!

Phil Shaw is beginning a new adult Bible study program.   The Bible Study will be held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at noon for an hour.  The study will begin with a discussion of the daily lectionary\, but when Advent begins\, Fr. Shaw will begin a special Bible study for the Advent season.  All are welcome!!
