It’s almost time for St. John’s annual indoor yard sale. The 2019 sale will be held on September 6 (noon to 6 pm) and September 7 (8 am to noon). Last year’s sale was our biggest and best ever, and we expect to once again have a lot of great items for you to buy! Most items will not be tagged with a price, and the buyer decides how much to pay for the item. Only larger and more valuable items will be tagged with a suggested price. Continue reading

Organ Dedication with Hymn Sing and Potluck Lunch
On Sunday, August 11, 2019, we will be dedicating the organ that was donated to us by Mrs. Janice Luke. Mrs. Luke will be playing the organ during our service, and we will join her in singing our favorite hymns – and most of them she will play from heart! After the service, everyone will have an opportunity to thank Mrs. Luke for her gift to St. John’s at a potluck lunch. Continue reading

June 2019 Bingo Dates
June 4 and 18 are the dates for Bingo at St. John’s (first and third Tuesdays of the month). Bingo is open to the entire Williams community and surrounding area, as long as you are 18 years or older. Visitors to Williams are welcome to join the fun, too!! The doors to Walker Hall at St. John’s open at 4:30 pm and the first game starts at 5:30 pm. The last game ends at approximately 7:30 pm. St. John’s to Host Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure June 27th
It’s our privilege at St. John’s to again host the 30 or so bicyclists who participate with an annual bicycle ride with the Fuller Center for Housing. This years ride is called the Parks & Peaks Ride and will occur during the summer months of 2019. This is the 12th year of the ride, and St. John’s has previously hosted the group as they have come through Williams. Continue reading
May Bingo Dates Are May 7 and 21
Bingo continues in May 2019 and will be played on the first and third Tuesday, May 7th and May 21st. As always, the doors open at 4:30 pm where you buy your games and dauber(s). The first game begins at 5:30 pm. Delicious refreshments are always for sale in the kitchen during game time at a very reasonable cost. The last game ends right about 7:30 pm. Continue reading
Holy Week Services and Activities
During Holy Week 2019, there will be many special services and opportunities for you to participate in the Passion of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and his resurrection at St. John’s in Williams, AZ. We welcome everyone to these services and events.
The following schedule is for Holy Week April 14-21, 2019:
- April 14 – Palm Sunday Service – 10:30 am, with the Eucharist.
- April 18 – Seder Meal – 5:00 pm – Passover Meal. Please sign up for the meal and also to let us know what dish you can provide.
- April 18 – Maundy Thursday Service – 7 pm This service will include the ritual of foot washing. The altar guild will strip the altar after the service (ritual procession to the Altar of Repose).
- April 19 – Good Friday Service – Noon to 3 pm. There will be a liturgy at noon, followed by the vigil until 3 pm. The church will be open for anyone wishing to come anytime during those three hours for a time of prayer and contemplation.
- April 21 – Easter Sunday – 8:00 am – 8:30 am – Vigil. 9:00 am – Easter Sunday breakfast. 10:30 am – Full Easter Service with special music by St. John’s Ecumenical Choir.
