The dates for May BINGO are Thursday May 10 and May 24. BINGO is played in Walker Hall at St. John’s Church and is a co-sponsored by St. John’s and the William Broehm VFW Post 12128 in Williams, AZ. The Rev. Dr. Lowell G. Almen, Bishop of the Grand Canyon Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America will be visiting and preaching at St. John’s on April 22, 2018. Holy Week 2018 begins with our Palm Sunday service on March 25th at 10:30 pm. The week will continue with several events and services. On Wednesday, March 28th, there will be Stations of the Cross at 5 pm in the sanctuary. On Maundy Thursday, March 29th at 7 pm, there will be a Maundy Thursday service in the Sanctuary. On Good Friday, there will be a service at 12 noon, followed by a vigil from 12:30-3:00 pm. You may come to the service and part of the vigil or just come for part of the vigil. On Easter Sunday, there will be an Easter Breakfast at 9:00 am, followed by our Easter Service at 10:30 pm.
NOTE: The Seder meal that had been scheduled for Thursday at 5:30 pm has been canceled.
We look forward to your joining us for one or all of these special events and services as we celebrate this most holy of seasons.
This coming Sunday, March 18, 2018, will be a very special day for St. John’s as we welcome Episcopal Bishop Kirk Smith.
