Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. — Matthew 5
You are invited to join us for our All Saints’ Day service this Sunday, at 10:30 AM. We also celebrate the Day of the Dead this November 1st. This week we have a guest pastor, The Rev. Mike Girlinghouse, who lead our service. Our Reader this week is Beth LaGro. We will have Holy Communion as part of the service, and all are welcome at the Lord’s Table.
We will have a special table set up as you enter our sanctuary this Sunday for you to place photos of your departed loved ones. Please share stories about them with others. The table will be decorated with marigolds and votive candles. After the service we will have special treats with our coffee hour as part of our day of remembrance.
St. John’s is located in the heart of historic Williams. We are an affirming church, and we welcome everyone through our double red doors. We invite all those visiting the area and those who are looking for a new home church. We will do our best to make you feel welcome at St. John’s.
Our service combines the traditions of both the Lutheran and Episcopal denominations.
If you cannot join us this Sunday, use the following link to open up the scripture readings for the day and also the day’s prayer (Collect). All-Saints-Day-A (PDF)
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
