Please join us for any or all of the following activities, which are open to everyone.
Tuesday, April 22 Earth Day – 10 am: “Ecumenical Earth Day Service with Creation Justice Ministries.” This Earth Day, join us for a time of sacred pause, powerful prayer, and faithful imagination. We invite you to attend with us Creative Justice Ministries’ Ecumenical Earth Day Prayer Service in Walker Hall.
Inspired by Creation Justice Ministries’ 2025 annual resource, The Power of God: From Extractive Theology to Transformative Faith, this virtual service will guide participants into prayerful reflection through seven original pieces of music, created exclusively for the resource.
The service will also feature a powerful reflection from Derrick Weston, Creation Justice Ministries’ Director of Theological Education and Formation.
Thursday, April 24 – 4-5 pm: “Earth Vigil” Another chance to gather in community and join in with Rev. Brian Sauder and Faith in Place’s Earth Vigil, where we will grieve, remember, and recommit to the life and work of Pope Francis. We’ll offer prayers. Share silence. And keep alive the vision that Pope Francis named so clearly in his 2015 Laudato Si’: On Care For Our Common Home – that lives are integrated in ecology – sacred, and holy. We will meet in the sanctuary.
Sunday, April 27 – 4-5:30 pm: Walking the Watershed – Please join us in a series of walks over the next several months as we explore our Bill Williams watershed. For this month’s walk we’ll meet at Buckskinner Park near the ramadas. Dress accordingly, and please wear proper footwear.
