On Saturday, November 6, 2021, St. John’s Episcopal-Lutheran Church (202 W. Grant Ave., Williams) will host a “Lucky 13” Pancakes and Pajamas fundraiser. Monies raised will benefit the Navajo Lutheran Mission in Rock Point, Arizona. The fundraiser begins at 8:00 am and ends at 4 pm.
For an entrance fee of $13.00, each entrant will receive a pancake breakfast (8 am – 10 am only) and their choice of a pair of pajamas (infants, children and adult sizes, and even PJs for an 18” American Girl doll will be available) or an apron. All the items are hand-sewn by a local resident. Between 8 and 4, raffle tickets for $5.00 will be sold for a chance to win a quilt or lap blanket. Pajamas, aprons, quilts, and lap blankets will also be available for purchase separately.
The Navajo Lutheran Mission partners with the Navajo people to be an outpost of love and hope. The Navajo staff daily feed the hungry, prioritize learning for grades K-6, and focus on fulfilling basic community needs. The Mission strives to embody and teach the grace of Jesus and listen to the call of the gospel to serve one another in love.
