On Sunday, August 11, 2019, we will be dedicating the organ that was donated to us by Mrs. Janice Luke. Mrs. Luke will be playing the organ during our service, and we will join her in singing our favorite hymns – and most of them she will play from heart! After the service, everyone will have an opportunity to thank Mrs. Luke for her gift to St. John’s at a potluck lunch.
Mrs. Luke is a new resident, with her husband, Tom, to Williams. They moved here this Spring, and she is the mother of our own Judge Rob Krombeen. When their new home didn’t have enough floorspace for her beloved organ, it found a home at St. John’s!
For over 23 years, Mrs. Luke has been teaching voice, piano, and choral ensembles at the Volante Academy of the Arts in the Prescott area. In addition to her work in music, Mrs. Luke has an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in social work, a graduate degree in theology/counseling from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a masters degree in ministry from the Life Christian University. She has worked as the lead chaplain at Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s East Campus in Prescott Valley and has done counseling with Peaceful Hope Ministries and Healing Rooms Ministry in the Prescott area.
Please join us for this special musical Sunday with Mrs. Luke!
