St. John’s was the recent recipient of a Thrivent Grant!  We were thrilled to receive this grant that was submitted by Michael and Melanie Bradle.  The use of the grant money was coordinated with the assistance of Deacon Dale Gallup, and Deb Noel and Kris Vasquez who worked with the local high school counselor  and did the actual purchases.  With the counselor’s advise it was determined that the funds would be spent on hygiene products often needed by young women and for teachers in their classrooms.  The products were purchased with the grant this past week and are now on their way to the Williams high school, where they will be distributed to those in need and to teachers for their classrooms.

A big thank you to everyone who was involved in getting this grant, working with the high school, purchasing the products in bulk to help the money go farther, and to get them delivered.
