Worship Service for the Fourth Sunday in Lent, March 30, 2025

‘I will get up and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired hands.”’ So he set off and went to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran and put his arms around him and kissed him. — Luke 15

Hear again the story of the Prodigal Son this Sunday as we worship together on this fourth Sunday in Lent.  Our service begins at 10:30 a.m. and is led by Fr. Philip Shaw and assisted by Deacon Dale Gallup.  All are invited and welcome at St. John’s.  And we do mean ALL.

St. John’s is an affirming church, rich in the traditions of both the Episcopal Church and Lutheran (ELCA) Church in America.  We welcome everyone to the Lord’s Table (Communion/Eucharist) as well.   No matter where you are on your faith journey and no matter what your background or where you are from … you are welcome here.

After the service, please stay for some coffee, iced tea, and treats, along with conversation.  We are always anxious to meet our visitors to St. John’s and make you feel at home.
