Worship Service, September 1, 2024

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. — James 1:27

Please join us this week as we begin the Season of Creation (September 1 – October 4), a time of opportunity for Christians around the world to celebrate with prayer and action to protect creation.  The theme for 2024 is  “To Hope and Act with Creation.”  Part of our worship service will be the introduction of the hymn, “God, You Made Your Good Creation.”  The service will include the Eucharist/Holy Communion and will be led by Fr. Philip Shaw. The service begins at 10:30 a.m. and all are invited and welcome.

St. John’s is an affirming church located in the heart of historic Williams, Arizona.  The church is located one block south of Historic Route 66 and about two and a half blocks south of the Grand Canyon Railway depot. Please join us after our service for our coffee hour that always features some lovely homemade treats and lots of conversation.
