Worship Services for October 27, 2024, Reformation Sunday

“Everything that is done in this world is done by hope.” ― Martin Luther

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Reformation Sunday.  Our guest pastor this Sunday will be the Rev. Michael Girlinghouse.  Our service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and all are invited and welcome at St. John’s, an affirming church located in the heart of Williams, Arizona.

Pastor Mike is the interim Campus Chaplain at LCM|Canterbury at NAU in Flagstaff.  LCM|Canterbury is a vibrant community serving Northern Arizona University and the broader Flagstaff community. Supported by both the Lutheran and Episcopal churches, it provides a spiritual home to students, young adults, and supporters from diverse backgrounds.  Pastor Mike is the past Bishop of the Arkansas-Oklahoma Synod of the ELCA.

Our choir will be singing this week during our service.  Sara Degenhardt will be offering a postlude on the organ.  This is her final week with us before she heads to California for the winter, so this is a special treat for us before she departs! And we will have our traditional coffee hour after the service that always features delectable treats.

Please note that we are getting all new sidewalks around the church and the only safe entrance right now is the door on the alley (west side of the building).  We do not know if the work will be completed by this Sunday, so please follow signs and be careful.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
