September 2018 Bingo Dates

St. John’s and the Williams VFW will co-sponsor Williams Community BINGO on September 13 and 27, 2018 in Walker Hall (202 W. Grant Ave., Williams, AZ).  Doors will open at 4:30 pm and the first game begins at 5:30 pm.  Games and daubers are sold at the door.  $10 minimum.  You must be 18+ to play/enter (this is Arizona State law).

Again, during game time, there will be food, snacks and beverages for sale in the kitchen.

BINGO is open to all of the Williams community and surrounding area, and also to visitors to Williams.  Grab a friend, spouse, or partner and come for some fun and a chance to win!

2018 Annual Indoor Yard Sale September 7-8

The annual indoor yard sale (or rummage sale) will be September 7-8, 2018 at St. John’s in Walker Hall.  The sale will be open to the public on Friday the 7th from noon until 6 PM (no early sales!), and on Saturday the 8th from 8 am – Noon.

St. John’s is currently accepting donations for the annual sale on Sundays from 11:45 am (after church service is over) until about 12:45 pm.  Please bring us only gently used household items and clothing (make sure it is clean and in nice condition).

The sale is open to everyone in the community and area.  Bring a friend and have fun shopping for bargains and treasures!

Slate of Candidates for Election of the VI Episcopal Bishop of Arizona

A snowstorm last March canceled our service with Bishop Kirk Smith,  but we are delighted to let you know that he is joining us July 29th.  He will lead us in worship at 10:30 am and we will have a potluck dinner with him following the service. This past week (June 13-14), Pastor Mary Piotrowski and Ms. Deb Noel attended the annual assembly of the ELCA Grand Canyon Synod in Tucson, Arizona, representing St. John’s. Pastor Mary and Deb had the happy opportunity to visit with Mrs. Sally Almen (far left), who had visited St. John’s in April with her husband, the current Grand Canyon Synod Bishop, and with Elizabeth A. June 2018 BINGO nights have been announced: June 14 and June 28 (2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month).  BINGO is open to the entire community and area, and visitors to Williams are welcome to join the fun and great eats coming out of the kitchen, too!  Bingo players can always purchase a $5 dinner, or snacks and beverages to keep up their strength while playing their games!
