Church Services for February 6, 2022 – Four Chaplains Sunday

Jesus fishing Gennesaret simon Simon Peter James John

They caught so many fish that their nets were beginning to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them. — Luke 5

This week’s services will be in-person at 10:30 a.m. and also on our Facebook page with a recorded video service (link to the service’s liturgy/prayers/scripture readings is below).  This video service is available each week by Sunday morning.  This week’s Gospel lesson is from Luke and is the wonderful story of Jesus preaching from a boat on a lake, and then the catching of two boats full of fish.  We will also be commemorating the sacrifice made by the Four Chaplains, a tragic event from World War II during this service.

You are invited to join us in worship, prayer and praise.  All are welcome at St. John’s.  We are an Open and Welcoming church.

St. John’s is following CDC guidelines to protect each other and care for each other.  That means we are all wearing masks and we do social distance within the sanctuary.
