During Holy Week 2019, there will be many special services and opportunities for you to participate in the Passion of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and his resurrection at St. John’s in Williams, AZ. We welcome everyone to these services and events.

During the six weeks of Lent, St. John’s invites you to join us for a homemade soup dinner with a movie. Starting Thursday, March 7th, and for the following weeks, we will come together in Walker Hall at 6 p.m. to have some soup & bread, and watch one of the following movies. St. John’s will begin the Christian season of Lent on March 6th with two Ash Wednesday services, which will include the imposition of ashes. The first will be at 7:30 a.m. and the second service will be at 6:00 p.m. Each service will be about 30 minutes in length. Ashes will also be offered as “Ashes to Go” by Pastor Piotrowski at the corner of Second Street & Route 66, downtown Williams, AZ between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. All are welcome at either service, or during the lunch hour in downtown Williams. Lent begins on February 14th, so we will be hosting a traditional Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner for the Williams community on the 13th. The dinner will begin at 5 pm and go until 7 pm. St. John’s will be serving — along with the pancakes — butter, syrup, sausages and beverages. There will be a free-will offering for the dinner. Continue reading
