Mark your calendars! December 11, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. is the annual Williams Lessons and Carols concert at St. John’s. There will be the singing of favorite carols, the reading of lessons from members of different Williams congregations, and music – lots of music! Song of the Pines Chorus
Everyone is cordially invited to attend the 10th Annual Advent Concert Series at St. John’s with four different concerts! The series starts off with the Song of the Pines Chorus. Song of the Pines Chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International, a non-profit, worldwide organization of female singers who meet regularly to rehearse, perform, socialize and have fun. Most of their members come from the Prescott Quad-City area, but they also have members who drive from Phoenix and other adjacent cities. Song of the Pines is a performing and competing chorus that has been an active part of the Prescott music scene for many years. They are an exuberant group of women who sing four-part barbershop harmony a cappella style. Enjoy the beautiful carols of Christmas with the stories that lead us up to Christ’s birth at St. John’s annual Lessons and Carols Advent Service. This service features several pastors from Williams reading the lessons. Each lesson is followed by Christmas music. Music at the service this year is being performed by Ms. Mary Nebel, cellist, Mr. George Albers, baritone, and St. John’s Choir. Continue reading
Just Desserts after a concert given in England
The toe-tapping and fun music continues at St. John’s Episcopal-Lutheran Church this Advent season with their 3rd public concert with Just Desserts on December 9th. Just Desserts is the house band for Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music (FFOTM). Just Desserts will be playing jigs, reels, old time, and Celtic tunes. Continue reading
