Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. — Matthew 5
Please join us this Sunday for our weekly worship service that begins at 10:30 a.m. Our service is about one hour in length and it includes Holy Communion. The service will be led by Fr. Phil Shaw and Deacon Dale Gallup. All are welcome at St. John’s and we hope that you will feel God’s love as you worship with us.
Our service will include a special liturgy this Sunday as the service is the official opening of the annual meeting of the congregation. However, the actual “meeting part” of things won’t happen until after the service and a potluck luncheon in Walker Hall. We hope that all members and those who have a special interest in St John’s will stay for lunch and the meeting. We really value everyone’s in put as we plan for the year ahead.
If you are unable to attend, you may wish to open the following linked file and read the prayer for the day (The Collect) along with the four scripture readings that will be read during our service and in many churches that use the Revised Common Lectionary (most mainstream protestant churches in the US and Canada and more and more churches worldwide). We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
