“But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father…Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.” Matthew 24
Please join us this Sunday for our 10:30 a.m. worship service as we begin the season of Advent, as we prepare our hearts and homes for the coming of the Christ Child. Our service will be led this week by Fr. Phil Shaw and Deacon Dale Gallup. All are welcome at St. John’s, an affirming church located in the heart of historic Williams, Arizona.
Our service will include the sacrament of Holy Communion, and all believers are welcome at the Lord’s Table. Following our service will be our traditional coffee hour – a time for treats and conversation and getting to know each other better. We will also be putting together more Hope Kits to take to our local Senior Center. We will also, during coffee hour, begin preparing Christmas cards for the young people who attended the Camp Genesis program this summer at Chapel Rock in Prescott.
If you are unable to attend this week’s service, the following link will provide you with the Lectionary for the day, which includes a prayer and the four scripture readings that will be read during the church service. Advent-1A (PDF)
We hope to see you this Sunday!
