Lent

St. John’s will hold its Ash Wednesday service at 5:30 pm, February 26th, 2020.  Ash Wednesday, the day many Christians mark as the first day of Lent, is a  time of reflection and penitence leading up to Easter Sunday.  Ashes will be “imposed” or “dispensed”  for those desiring them.  Rev. Cheryl Fox will remind each Christian of Genesis 3:19: “For dust you are and to dust you shall return.”  All are welcome to this service.  You do not need to be a member of St. John’s to attend or receive ashes.
