Third Sunday in Advent Service, December 13, 2020

Join us for the Third Sunday in Advent on December 13th at 10:30 a.m. in our beautiful and historic sanctuary in downtown Williams, AZ.  All are welcome at St. John’s.  We will also have the same service available on our Facebook page on Sunday morning as a recorded video for those who can attend. This video service will be kept on our Facebook page so that you can access it at anytime.  Below you will find a link to the service bulletin, which includes the prayers, readings, hymns and liturgy.

We do require that everyone inside the church wears a mask to keep everyone safe and to keep a safe physical distance.

Service for the Second Sunday in Advent 2020

December 6, 2020 is the Second Sunday of Advent this year and we will be worshipping together at St. John’s at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary and also on our Facebook page with a prerecorded video of the identical service.

We continue to require the wearing of masks inside the church and ask that everyone continue to practice physical distancing during the continuing pandemic.  This is to keep you safe and everyone attending the service safe as well.  This is the least we can do for each other.

All seekers are welcome at St. John’s! Please join us for worship during this season of preparation and joy.

Sunday Church Service for November 29, 2020, First Sunday of Advent

Join us for the First Sunday of Advent! We will meet in church on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 10:30 for worship, and also online on our Facebook page with a recording of the same service.  Below you will find the bulletin for Sunday’s Advent service, with complete hymn lyrics, prayers and readings.

Everyone is welcome and invited to worship at St. John’s.  The church sanctuary is completely accessible.  We are worshiping with physical distancing and with the wearing of masks to ensure the safety of all.

2017 Lessons and Carols

Enjoy the beautiful carols of Christmas with the stories that lead us up to Christ’s birth at St. John’s annual Lessons and Carols Advent Service.  This service features several pastors from Williams reading the lessons.  Each lesson is followed by Christmas music.  Music at the service this year is being performed by Ms. Mary Nebel, cellist, Mr. George Albers, baritone, and St. John’s Choir.  Continue reading →

The toe-tapping and fun music continues at St. John’s Episcopal-Lutheran Church this Advent season with their 3rd public concert with Just Desserts on December 9th.  Just Desserts is the house band for Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music (FFOTM).  Just Desserts will be playing jigs, reels, old time, and Celtic tunes. St. John’s Episcopal-Lutheran Church invites every one of all ages in the Williams community, surrounding communities, along with visitors to Northern Arizona, to enjoy the first, free public concert of the 2018 Advent season on November 25th at 5 pm in the church sanctuary.  Mr. Larry Dean Hannah will begin this year’s concert series.  This is the 9th year that St. John’s has hosted the four-week advent concert series for Williams.  Continue reading →

St. John’s Episcopal-Lutheran Church invites all in the Williams area, and visitors to Williams and the Grand Canyon, to its second free Advent Concert on December 3rd at 4 pm.  The concert program, Lessons and Carols, will include area pastors as they present the Biblical Lessons, and the Carols will feature a choir and local musicians as they present many traditional Christmas songs.  Continue reading →
