Worship Service for February 15, 2026, Transfiguration Sunday

Jesus took with him Peter and James and his brother John and led them up a high mountain, by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became dazzling white. — Matthew 17

This week is called Transfiguration Sunday because of our reading from the Gospel during our worship service.  Come hear the Gospel story along with the other scripture readings at 10:30 a.m. All are invited and all are welcome.  Our service will be led by Fr. Phil Shaw and Deacon Dale Gallup. The service is followed by a time of fellowship in Walker Hall with beverages and treats. Continue reading

Worship Service for Sunday, October 5, 2025

This Sunday, October 5th, St. John’s will celebrate the final day of this year’s Season of Creation with a joint service with the Williams Community United Methodist Church.  The service will be held at their church at 127  W. Sherman Ave. (corner of Second Street and Sherman Ave.) in Williams at 10:00 a.m.  Fr. Phil Shaw will lead the service for the two congregations.  And the Handbell Choir will be playing. Annual Blessing of the Animals 2024

Everyone in the Williams community is invited to St. John’s for the annual Blessing of the Animals on October 13, 2024 from Noon until 2 PM at St. John’s.  Bring your pets – large and small (for example cats, dogs, hamsters, goldfish, goats, ducks, and even horses!).  Please have your pets secured in either a carrier or on leash.  Each pet will receive a blessing from Father Philip Shaw and also a St. Francis medallion for their collar or carrier.
