fig tree

“A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and found none. So he said to the gardener, ‘See here! For three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and still I find none. Cut it down! Why should it be wasting the soil?’ He replied, ‘Sir, let it alone for one more year, until I dig around it and put manure on it. If it bears fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.'” – Luke 13

We continue on our journey through Lent and will have our in-person Sunday service at 10:30 am and our video service will be available on our Facebook page by Sunday morning.  This week our sermon at our in-person service, will be delivered by our special speaker, Brad Eubanks, who is the Campus Minister and Episcopal Chaplain at Northern Arizona University, which is also part of the Lutheran Campus Ministries (LCM/Canterbury) in Flagstaff, Arizona. The video service will have a sermon by Rev. Cheryl Fox.  The bulletin with liturgy, scripture readings, and prayers for the video service is the link found below.

St. John’s is an open and welcoming church to all.  We hope to see you this Sunday!
