Worship Services for Sunday, July 30, 2023

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” — Matthew 13

We will have two services this coming Sunday, one at the church at 10:30 a.m. with lots of special music this week, and the other will be a video service on our Facebook page for those unable to attend in-person.  The text/bulletin for the video service is available as the PDF file link below.

This week our choir will be singing with guitarist David Mills, and we will also have Mandie and Michael McClure playing Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise for French Horn and Piano during our time of communion.  Both Michael and Mandie are teachers in Warrenton, Oregon. Michael is the band and choir director for the high school, and band director for the middle school.  Mandie teaches middle school math and honors algebra and directs the middle school choir.

St. John’s is an affirming church in Williams, welcoming everyone to services, and to partake in Holy Communion (no matter your background).  You may also come forward, cross your arms over your chest, and receive a blessing (this includes children) if you do not with to receive communion.

After the service at St. John’s, please stay for coffee hour and enjoy the fellowship and lively conversations in our fellowship hall.  And the amazing goodies that come each week!
