Ash Wednesday Service

We will have an in-person service at St. John’s for Ash Wednesday.  This is open to everyone in the community – you do not need to be a member of John’s to come to this service and receive ashes as a part of the service (you also do not have to receive ashes – this is your personal decision).  Ash Wednesday is a holy day of prayer and fasting that marks the first day of Lent, which is the six weeks of preparation, and an opportunity to go deeper with God before Easter. This religious day is observed by Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Lutherans, Methodists, Moravians, Nazarenes, and more Christian denominations.
