Becoming Beloved Community Celebrates Black History Month
St. John’s Episcopal-Lutheran Church invites community members to our second conversation in the series “Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times: Becoming Beloved Community” on Tuesday, February 27 from 4-5:30pm in Walker Hall, 202 W. Grant Ave. in Williams. We will explore deeper what is meant by a Beloved Community, share insights from the Episcopal Church’s Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s book, “Love is the Way”, and listen to stories from our friends and neighbors of the Galilee Baptist Church in Williams. Annual Community Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner, February 13th
Get ready to sink your taste buds into some delicious pancakes, sausage, and a wide variety of toppings for those pancakes this Tuesday, February 13th, from 5 to 7 PM at St. John’s. We will have an in-person service at St. John’s for Ash Wednesday. The service will be held from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. This service is open to everyone in the community – you do not need to be a member of John’s to come to this service and receive ashes as a part of the service (you also do not have to receive ashes – this is your personal decision).
